Helga's Tips: How To Prepare A Fancy Buffet

We can learn a lot about how to prepare a fancy buffet from those chefs on deck 7 of the Queen Mary 2 in the King’s Court Restaurant at lunch time. During those last days of the transatlantic crossing they exerted themselves to carve ice statues and to create magical centerpieces to create a mood of celebration for their 175th anniversary at sea. You too could create or buy a statue or two for your biggest table and set it with foods to take buffet style on three different levels. The levels are important. Whether you have as much food as this or not, they create a feeling of plentitude and having a choice. They also create a more artistic effect pleasing to the eye especially when combined with vases of cut flowers or pots of flowers. You might even have a  color theme. Here they offer a lot of green, orange, and white.
